1040.24 YARD HYDRANTS.

Only standard hydrants may be installed in yards in accordance with the State Plumbing Code. In any case where a building contains no plumbing, it shall be permissible to install a standard yard hydrant. However, where a meter has been installed, in no case shall an opening be made in a service pipe before it enters the meter.
