This chapter, except for Section 848.18(h), shall not apply to hospitals, nursing homes, sanitariums, medical clinics, dispensaries, the offices of a physician, surgeon, osteopath or chiropractor, persons holding an unrevoked certificate to practice the healing arts under the law of the State, persons working or studying under the direction of any such persons or in any such establishments or barbers or cosmetologists lawfully carrying out their particular profession or business and holding a valid, unrevoked license or certificate of registration issued by the State.
