652.21 ABATEMENT BY POLICE CHIEF; COSTS.
When any nuisance, or anything which is likely to become a nuisance, is found upon or connected with any premises which are unoccupied, or when the occupant of such premises is not liable for such nuisance, and the owner is unknown or cannot be found and the agent refuses or neglects to comply with the notice to remove or abate such nuisance, the Chief of Police shall remove and abate the same and shall report the cost of such removal to COuncil, under oath, which Council may allow. The City Attorney shall collect the costs by attachment of otherwise.
