652.20 LIABILITY OF PROPERTY OWNERS AND OCCUPANTS.

The owner of any premises shall be liable for each and every nuisance thereon or issuing therefrom, whether it is caused by his or her own act or neglect or by that of the occupant or tenant thereof. The occupant of any premises, other than the owner, shall be liable for each and every nuisance caused by his or her act or neglect, provided that only one penalty shall be recovered for the same nuisance.
