470.02 ABANDONMENT ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY PROHIBITED.
   No person shall abandon a motor vehicle or other vehicle, or any part thereof, on any highway in the City or on private or public property, other than a highway, in view of the general public, anywhere in the City. A motor vehicle or other vehicle, or any part thereof, so abandoned on private property may be authorized for removal by or upon the order of the Chief of Police after a waiting period of seven days or more has expired. A motor vehicle will be presumed to be abandoned if no work has been done upon said motor vehicle for a period of thirty days. The Chief of Police or the Mayor may extend the waiting period up to thirty days if either the Chief of Police or the Mayor determines that work is being done upon the motor vehicle.
