256.29 DEPARTURE OF POLICE OFFICERS FROM CITY SERVICE; REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING EXPENSES.
   All full-time police officers hired by the City, whose training is paid for by the City, and who leave the employ of the City, shall reimburse the City for the cost of training expenses incurred by the City according to the following schedule:
   (a)   If the police officer leaves the employ of the City within one year after his or her date of employment, the police officer shall reimburse the City for 100% of the cost of his or her training paid by the City;
   (b)   If the police officer leaves the employ of the City within two years after his or her date of employment, the police officer shall reimburse the City for 50% of the cost of his or her training paid by the City; and
   (c)   If the police officer leaves the employ of the City within three years after his or her date of employment, the police officer shall reimburse the City for 25% of the cost of his or her training paid by the City.
