All City officers, except the Mayor, Aldermen and the City Clerk, shall be commissioned by warrant under the corporate seal, which commissions shall be signed by the Mayor and the City Clerk and issued by the City Clerk. Such commissions may be in the following form:

To All To Whom These Presents Shall Come—Greeting:
Know ye, that , having been duly elected (or appointed, as the case may be) to the office of of the City of Christopher, I , Mayor of said City, for and on behalf of the people thereof, do hereby commission him (her) in and for said City to have and possess said office, with all the rights, powers and emoluments incident thereto, and with authority to execute all the duties thereof, according to law and ordinance, and until his (her) successor shall be duly chosen and qualified.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the corporate seal of said City to be affixed this day of A. D. Nineteen Hundred and .

By the Mayor-
The Mayor shall issue a certificate of election to the City Clerk, under the seal of the City, and the City Clerk shall so issue certificates of election to the Mayor and each Alderman.
