Amendments to this chapter may be adopted after a public hearing at which any person has an opportunity to be heard. At least 30 days before the hearing, a notice of the time and place of hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the county. A notice of the hearing and the proposed ordinance changes shall be submitted to the Director of the Arizona Division of Emergency Management (DEM) at least 30 days prior to the hearing. A copy of any adopted ordinance change shall be filed within five days from adoption with the Director of the Arizona Division of Emergency Management (DEM) and with each neighboring political subdivision, County Floodplain Administrator and municipal corporation within one mile of the boundary of the town.
