(A) Recycling required. As of September 1, 2010, all commercial establishments, including those entities authorized to self-haul their own waste, shall separate recyclable items, such as aluminum cans, plastic bottles, paper and cardboard for recycling; and no aluminum cans, plastic bottles, paper and cardboard shall be deposited in garbage cans and containers.
(B) Enforcement.
(1) As of September 1, 2010, the village shall continue a program of educational outreach regarding these new recycling requirements.
(2) As of January 1, 2011, civil infractions shall apply to any violation of this section pursuant to § 10.99.
(C) Exceptions.
(1) Commercial establishments may elect to utilize authorized recovered material recyclers. The village shall supply a list of recovered material recyclers. The list may be amended from time to time as additional recovered material recyclers become available.
(2) Commercial establishments may elect to deposit their own recyclable materials at any authorized recycle center or convenience center.
(3) All commercial establishments shall provide a recycling compliance form, which states and certifies the manner in which they are complying with this section.
