§ 50.43 ESTABLISHMENT AND DELINEATION OF WELLHEAD PROTECTION DISTRICT.
   (A)   For the purposes of this district, there are hereby established within the village certain wellhead protection areas, consisting of aquifers or recharge areas which are delineated on a map. This map is entitled “Wellhead Protection Districts - Chimney Rock Village”. This map is hereby made a part of the Code of Ordinances and is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator.
   (B)   The Wellhead Protection Area for Well Number 1 shall be an area with a radius of 1,012 feet commencing from the wellhead.
   (C)   The Wellhead Protection Areas were delineated using the Calculated Fixed Radius (CFR) method. The CFR method uses well yield, expressed as the pumping rate, and the recharge rate for the area to determine the radius of the Wellhead Protection Area around each well. The table entitled “Mountain and Inner Piedmont” shall be included as part of this subchapter.
   (D)   The Wellhead Protection Areas may be modified from time to time, when new wells are drilled and based on the recommendation of the Zoning Administrator. Any modifications to these areas shall be made to the Wellhead Protection Districts official map and passed by a resolution of the Village Council.
