(A) The boundaries are delineated on the face of a map entitled, “Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Map, Village of Chimney Rock, North Carolina,” which attached to the ordinance codified herein and is hereby adopted by reference. The boundaries of the extraterritorial jurisdiction are further described as follows:
(1) Portions of the following below noted parcels lying within unincorporated Rutherford County being south and west of the village boundary of Chimney Rock Village, wherein the southerly boundaries of the portion of the noted parcels are no greater than 5,280 feet from the centerline of the Rocky Broad River, the centerline constituting the village boundary of Chimney Rock Village.
(2) The portions of the noted parcel are presently within unincorporated Rutherford County and directly abut the municipal limits of Chimney Rock Village.
(3) This description is a general description and should not be construed to be an engineering accurate survey.
(4) The following parcels, portions of which are lying within unincorporated Rutherford County and directly abutting the village boundary of Chimney Rock Village, are affected by this chapter:

(B) The foregoing boundary description in division (A) above is based upon aerial photographs, land maps, U.S.G.S. maps and property boundaries from the Rutherford County Tax Maps that include the Village of Chimney Rock and unincorporated Rutherford County, and natural and manmade geographical features identifiable on the ground.
(C) The official copy of this section and map shall be on record in the office of the Village Clerk for public inspection during normal business hours. The Village Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this chapter and map and any subsequent amendments to be recorded in the offices of the Register of Deeds of Rutherford County.
