§ 153.022 BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS.
   (A)   The Special Flood Hazard Areas are those identified under the Cooperating Technical State (CTS) agreement between the State of North Carolina and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in its Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and its accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), for Rutherford County, North Carolina and Incorporated Areas, dated July 2, 2008, and any revisions thereto, which are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter.
   (B)   The initial Flood Insurance Rate Maps are as follows for the jurisdictional areas at the initial date:
      (1)   Rutherford County Unincorporated Area, dated June 1, 1987; and
      (2)   Chimney Rock Village, dated June 1, 1987.
