§ 170.99 Penalty
   (a)   It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to violate or neglect to comply with any provision of §§ 170.01 through 170.38 irrespective of whether or not the verbiage of each section hereof contains the specific language that such violation or neglect is unlawful and is an offense. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of §§ 170.01 through 170.38, or any of the provisions of a drilling and operating permit issued pursuant hereto, or any condition of the bond filed by the permittee pursuant to those sections, or who shall neglect to comply with the terms hereof, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, on conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not less than $5.00 nor more than $200.00. The violation of each separate provision of §§ 170.01 through 170.38, and of the permit, and of the bond, shall be considered a separate offense, and each day's violation of each separate provision thereof shall be considered a separate offense.
   (b)   In addition to the penalty provided in division (a) of this section, it is further provided that the City Council, at any regular or special session thereof, may, provided ten (10) days notice has been given to the permittee that revocation is to be considered at such meeting, revoke or suspend any permit issued under §§ 170.01 through 170.38 and under which drilling or producing operations are being conducted in the event the permittee thereof has violated any provision of the permit, the bond, or §§ 170.01 through 170.38. In the event that the permit be revoked, the permittee may make application to the City Council for a reissuance of the permit, and the action of the City Council thereon shall be final and conclusive.

   (c)   Any person, firm, or corporation in violation of any of the provisions of §§ 170.50 through 170.55 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a penalty or fine not to exceed the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each offense.
