§ 170.23 Storage tanks and separators
   It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to use, construct or operate in connection with any producing well within the city limits, any storage tanks except to the extent of two steel tanks not exceeding 500 barrels capacity each and so constructed and maintained as to be vapor-tight with connecting overflow, and each surrounding separately with an earthen firewall at such distance and at such height as will, under any circumstances, hold and retain at least 1-½ times the maximum capacity of each tank. Separators shall be of high test of the minimum of 6,000 pounds and shall be equipped with both a regulation pressure-relief safety valve and a bursting head.
