(A) Only passenger motor vehicles and other motor vehicles having a gross weight of not more than 20,000 pounds shall be permitted to park in the municipal parking lots. These motor vehicles may not be longer in length than the surface lines within which the vehicles must be parked, and shall be parked within the boundaries of the marked parking lanes.
(B) For purposes of this section:
(1) COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle having motor power designed and used for carrying merchandise or freight.
(2) OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES. Includes commercial motor vehicles having a gross weight of not more than 20,000 pounds.
(3) PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle designed and used for carrying not more than 9 persons.
(C) Motor vehicles may not be parked in such a way as to extend out into the area used for entering or exiting from parking lanes, or straddle or cross the boundary lines of parking lanes.
(D) Motor vehicles shall enter and leave the municipal parking lots only over or through areas specifically designated for entering and leaving.
(E) Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. parking at Municipal Lot No. 2 on Northbend Road shall be limited to 4 hours. Parking on all other municipal lots shall be limited to 6 hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
(F) No vending, selling, soliciting, or promotion or advertising of any products or services of any kind whatsoever, shall be permitted in the municipal parking lots, except:
(1) Food trucks operating with a valid permit issued by the city;
(2) Vendors operating during festivals or special events approved by the city;
(3) Commercial vehicles with signage permanently affixed;
(4) Political campaign signs on vehicles; and
(5) The distribution of political literature on a day which an election is being conducted.
(G) Any police officer of the city may impound any such motor vehicle in the municipal parking lots found in violation of § 76.50.
(H) Municipal parking lots shall be governed by applicable provisions of this title except as otherwise provided herein and by other applicable provisions of the code of ordinances.
