The purpose of this chapter is to encourage the responsible ownership, maintenance and management of income-producing properties within the town, particularly as the public health, safety, general welfare and economic vitality of the surrounding community is directly impacted. The scope of this chapter includes the preservation of structures, the maintenance of law and order and high property standards in our neighborhoods. It is not the intent of the chapter to mediate internal disputes between landlords and tenants, but rather to address the maintenance of income-producing properties within the greater community.
