4-3-8: CITY DUMPSTER RENTAL PROGRAM:
   A.   The City may institute a dumpster rental program for its constituents.
   B.   For those who rent a City dumpster , the City shall collect a security deposit prior to placement. Deposits shall be as follows :
      1.   Two (2)-yard dumpster unit: fifty dollars ($50.00).
      2.   Four (4)-yard dumpster unit: seventy-five dollars ($75.00).
      3.   Six (6)- yard dumpster unit: one hundred dollars ($100.00).
   C.   The charge for use of City dumpsters for each time the dumpster is emptied shall be as follows:
      1.   Two (2)-yard dumpster unit: fifty dollars ($50.00).
      2.   Four (4)-yard dumpster unit: seventy-five dollars ($75.00).
      3.   Six (6)- yard dumpster unit: one hundred dollars ($100.00).
   D.   If a rented dumpster is not emptied within seven (7) days from the date of placement due to no fault of the City, a ten dollar ($10.00) charge will be assessed every week the dumpster is not emptied.
   E.   Rental of City dumpsters shall not exceed twenty- one (21) consecutive days and will be removed from the property. Once a dumpster is removed from the property an invoice will be mailed at the end of the month. If dumpster is needed longer than twenty-one (21) days, the renter must contact City Hall to check availability and pay any outstanding balance.
   F.   Once during the calendar year , a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) discount on the dumpster units per a specific City address will be allowed.
   G.   All city dumpsters shall be equipped with a fill line towards the top of the dumpster. If a constituent fills the dumpster above the fill line, the City of Chenoa has the right and discretion to notify the constituent and may further require the constituent to remove the items in excess of such fill line. In the event the City requires the removal of items above the fill line, the City may also reserve the right to refuse emptying the offending dumpster(s). In addition, the City may charge a fine in accordance with the general penalty provisions of Section 1-4-1.
   H.   The following designated items or any addition to any other items the City may communicate from time to time shall not be placed in dumpsters:
      1.   Tires;
      2.   Automobile Batteries;
      3.   Steel;
      4.   Appliances;
      5.   Yard Waste;
      6.   Concrete; and
      7.   Bricks.
      In the event the City determines such objects have been paced in a City dumpster, the City will implement a fine pursuant to the General Penalty Provisions set forth in the general penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this Code.
