A. If city water mains, storm sewers or sanitary sewers are damaged or uncovered in the course of any work or action by private owners and/or contractors, a city employee or official shall be notified prior to such sewers being repaired or covered.
B. All excavation and/or repair work on such lines shall be conducted by the city or a contractor approved by the city, which shall be reimbursed for the reasonable costs for the work and for damages for injury or damage to the sewer, by the owner and/or contractor. (Ord. 560, 11-10-2008)
