It is unlawful to place or allow to be placed any commercial sign or any signs promoting a political candidate or party, on any street, alley or right of way within the city. This section shall not apply to temporary signs for yard sales, garage sales, auction signs (both 1 time and recurring auctions) or temporary signs advertising a charitable event or benefit. For the purpose of this section, "temporary" shall be defined as remaining on city rights of way for no more than twenty four (24) hours. (Ord. 511, 7-24-2006)
