All employees are entitled to a paid 15 minute rest period in each half of their shift to be calculated from the time work is ceased, until the time work is commenced. All employees, except police officers, are entitled to an unpaid one hour lunch period. Police officers are entitled to a paid one-half hour lunch period, during which they are on call and may not leave the village limits. Breaks and lunch periods shall be scheduled by the department head.
