(A) Underground utilities shall be backfilled in accordance with Appendix A-8.
(B) As an alternate to the backfill materials specified in Appendix A-11, the use of “flowable fill” will be permitted. This mix shall consist of a lean concrete mix with no less than 50 pounds of cement per cubic yard, 200 to 600 pounds of fly ash, 2,000 to 3,000 pounds of fine aggregate, and 35 to 65 gallons of water. Minimum 28-day compressive strength shall not be less than 150 psi.
