§ 50.156 CONNECTION SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   The connection of the building sewer into the public sewer shall conform to the requirements of the Springfield Sanitary District, the building and plumbing code or other applicable rules and regulations of the village, or the procedures set forth in appropriate specifications of the American Society of Testing Materials, "Water Pollution Control Federation Manual of Practice No. 9," and Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois. All such connections shall be made gastight and watertight. Any deviation from the prescribed procedures and materials must be approved by the Sanitary District or the village before installation. No such connection shall be made except by a person licensed under the provisions of "An Act in relation to the licensing and regulation of plumbers, to repeal a certain Act therein named, and to prescribe penalties for the violation thereof.", approved July 13, 1953, as amended (I.R.S. Ch. 111, § 1101 et seq.); or by a person authorized to perform such work by the Sanitary District.
   (B)   No connection of a building sewer to the public sewer shall be made, nor shall any parts of the building sewer and its connection to the building drain be covered until inspected for compliance with the provisions of this chapter and approved by a duly authorized employee of the village.
