The village hereby establishes a Code Hearing Department as a separate and independent agency in the municipal government. The function of the Hearing Department is to expedite the prosecution and correction of code violations in the manner set forth in this chapter. The Code Hearing Department may adjudicate any violation of the Code of Ordinances. The Code Hearing Department shall be supervised by the Director of Utilities and Administration, who shall also arrange for and provide all required staff assistance to the Hearing Officer.
