The village is committed to employment opportunities which are based upon ability and performance demonstrating in a productive climate free from racial, sexual or other discrimination and harassment. Discrimination and harassment based on categories listed in the village's equal opportunity policy (Article 1 of this Code) will not be tolerated. An employee who believes he or she has been so discriminated against or harassed shall immediately contact his or her supervisor, the Director of Administration or a member of the Board. Any employee determined by investigation to have so discriminated against or harassed another employee shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
