6-2-11: TIME LIMIT PARKING:

   A.   Generally:

      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person or operator to park any vehicle longer than the following periods of time between the hours of eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) P.M. for all days, except Fridays, which shall be nine o'clock (9:00) P.M., and except Sundays, New Year's Day, Decoration Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, on any of the following streets:

   D.   Temporary Parking Restrictions During Coles County Fair: It shall be unlawful to permit any vehicle to stand or park on the following designated streets during the period of time that the Coles County Fair is in operation, said period to commence on the first day of the opening of said fair and terminating on the closing day of the said Coles County Fair:

   E.   Penalties For Violation:

      1.   The owner or operator of any vehicle which is parked in violation of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of fifteen dollars ($15.00) if paid within forty eight (48) hours after said violation has been written, or in the event that said violation is not paid within forty eight (48) hours of said violation notification, said fine shall be in the amount of twenty dollars ($20.00).

      2.   The foregoing violation ticket may be paid at the police department or same deposited in the collection boxes.

      3.   If said violation ticket is not paid within ten (10) days of receipt of same, the fine per violation shall be as prescribed in section 1-4-1 of this code.

      4.   In all cases of violation of this section, the police department and the city reserve the right to have vehicles towed, towing being without waiver of any remaining penalties for violation of this section.
