(a) License Fees.
(1) The licensee arcade shall pay with the initial application a non-refundable annual license fee of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) for each entertainment device arcade location. The initial Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) shall be due at the time of the initial application. The annual license fee thereafter shall be due on the anniversary date of the issuance of the entertainment device arcade license.

(2) The arcade licensee shall also pay a monthly non-refundable license fee of forty-five dollars ($45.00) for each entertainment device located on the premises on the first day of each month. The initial monthly entertainment device license fee shall be paid upon preliminary approval of the initial or annual application. The license fees for each month thereafter shall be paid on or before the first day of each month. [For example, if the initial monthly license fee was paid on July 1st, then the next monthly payment is due on August 1st].
(3) If a new or additional entertainment device is installed in the arcade after the first of the month, then the licensee shall pay a prorated license fee for the device prior to operation or use of the device. For purposes of determining licensing fees, each device that is operable by one or more persons is a separate device.
(b) Non-transferability; Display. A license issued hereunder shall not be transferred to another entity or location. The license with the entertainment device and serial number must be posted conspicuously in the arcade.
(c) Payment and Disposition of License Fees. License fees shall be paid to the Finance Director of the City of Chardon and deposited in the General Fund.
