1319.21 NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
   (a)   Where a violation of this code is found to exist, a written notice from the Community Development Administrator shall be served upon the person or persons responsible for the correction thereof. The notice shall specify the violation or violations committed, what must be done to correct same and a reasonable period of time to correct or abate the violation.
 
   (b)   Service of a violation notice shall be by certified U.S. mail, return receipt requested, addressed to the person or persons responsible at the subject property or to the tax mailing address as listed in the records of the Geauga County Auditor; or by hand delivery to the property owner and/or occupant at the premises. In the event no tax mailing address exists or notice cannot be delivered, the violation notice shall be published twice in a newspaper of general circulation.
