129.01 CREATION; DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT HEADS.

   (a)   Under Article VI of the Charter there is created a Department of Public Safety and a Department of Public Service.

   (b)   The Department Heads shall:

      (1)   Be responsible to the Manager for the proper administration of their respective Departments. If the Manager is the Department Head, the Manager may designate the administrative head of that Department.

      (2)   Institute, upon approval of the Manager, procedures and practices for the more efficient operation of the Department.

      (3)   Submit reports to the Manager on request.

      (4)   Be responsible for the care and maintenance of all Municipal property under their jurisdiction.
