945.11 PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PARKS AND RECREATION AREAS.

   Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the following rules and regulations apply to all parks and recreation areas within the Municipality:

   (a)   “Vehicle” shall be defined as set forth in Section 301.51 of the Codified Ordinances.

   (b)   No person shall stop or park a vehicle except in those areas designated and posted for parking.

   (c)   No person shall operate a vehicle at a speed exceeding 10 m.p.h.

   (d)   No ATV’s, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, or any other motorized off-road vehicles are permitted. Motorcycles, trucks, cars and other licensed vehicles are permitted to travel on driveways and the designated parking lots. Only Municipal and emergency vehicles are permitted beyond the designated parking lots.

   (e)   No person shall paint, write, cut, carve or in any manner inscribe letters, figures or marks on or otherwise disfigure any rock, tree, or any structure, wall or fence.

   (f)   No person shall damage, deface, or remove any notice, or notice board, post, railing, fence or other things which may from time to time be erected or placed thereon by or under the authority of the person or persons in the management and control of a park or recreation area.

   (g)   No person shall discard garbage, rubbish or other substance or material except by depositing in containers provided therefor.

   (h)   No cutting or trimming of any trees or shrubs is permitted without written consent of the Manager.

   (i)   Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

   (j)   Horses are not permitted. Dogs or other pets are not permitted unless restrained by a leash. It is the responsibility of the owner or handler to remove any animal excrement.

   (k)   Open fires are not permitted, except in designated containers.

   (l)   Climbing on fences is prohibited.

   (m)   Skateboarding, skating, rollerblading, or any other type of wheeled activity on sidewalk ramps at the pool or chalet is prohibited.

   (n)   Construction of jumps or ramps is prohibited except in areas designated and posted for use of skateboards and roller blades.

   (o)   Sledding and tubing are permitted only on the sled hill at the chalet.

   (p)   No person shall violate the rules and regulations posted in the park regulating the proper use and protection of property and equipment on municipal parks and recreation areas.
