(a) Wherever street crossings are necessary and the depth of existing services is sufficient, connection to existing water mains shall be made by boring, or pushing, the service lateral under the street pavement. The Cutting, or opening of street pavements shall be avoided whenever other reasonable alternatives are available in the opinion of the Authority having jurisdiction.
(b) Any street opening and/or boring, and the restoration thereof, shall be in accordance with the requirements for same set forth in Chapter 901
(Street Regulations).
