927.36 MINIMUM SIZE OF TAPS AND SERVICE LATERALS.
   The minimum acceptable sizes for water service shall be as follows:
   (a)   Each residential dwelling unit shall have a minimum service size of three-fourths (¾) inch; excepting that transient residence facilities shall be required to conform to all other requirements of this section.

   (b)   For single family residential units with fixed fire suppression systems that are permitted to be supplied from the building's domestic water supply, the service lateral shall be of sufficient size to meet the domestic water demand plus the fire suppression demand. The proposed lateral size shall be approved by the Municipal Engineer and the Director of Public Service.

   (c)   Service laterals for automatic fire protection sprinkler systems shall be sized in accordance with the requirements of the Fire Prevention Code.
   (d)   For all other uses the proposed individual service and/or service lateral size shall be subject to the approval of the Municipal Engineer and the Authority having jurisdiction.
