927.35 MINIMUM SIZE OF WATER MAINS.
   (a)   The minimum acceptable water main sizes shall be as follows:
      (1)   One and two family dwelling areas: eight (8) inches.
      (2)   All other areas: twelve (12) inches.
      (3)   Water trunk mains: sixteen (16) inches.
 
   (b)   All water mains and service laterals that supply fire hydrants shall be of sufficient size to provide the required fire flow for the area, or property, in which they are located. However, no such water main or service lateral shall be less than eight (8) inches. Determination of the required fire flow shall be in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the Fire Prevention Code.
 
   (c)   The proposed size of new water mains shall be reviewed by, and subject to the approval of, the Municipal Engineer and the Authority having jurisdiction.
