The present Municipality, known as the Village of Chardon, Geauga County, Ohio, shall continue to be a body politic and corporate, under the name of the Village of Chardon, or the City of Chardon, as the population requires, and with the same boundaries, with power and authority to change its boundaries and annex or detach other territory contiguous thereto in the manner authorized by the general laws of Ohio.
