Prior to starting blasting, the contractor shall notify the appropriate local Municipal officials, and the general public reasonably expected to be potentially effected thereby, of his intent to do so.
(a) Notification of the appropriate Municipal officials shall be in writing, shall be at least seven (7) days prior to the start of such blasting, and shall indicate the anticipated duration of such blasting operation.
(b) Notification of the general public within twenty-five hundred (2500) feet of the blasting site shall be by means of written "door-handle" type notices approved in advance by the Council and shall be effected at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the start of such blasting. Such notice shall contain the general times of the day when blasting will occur (i.e. between 8:00 a.m. and noon).
(c) The contractor shall furnish the Engineer and the Community Development Administrator with a list of those parties notified in accordance herewith not less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of such blasting.
