10-2-6: PLUMBING INSPECTOR; INSPECTION OF WORK:
   A.   Plumbing Inspector; Office Created, Powers And Duties:
      1.   There shall be a plumbing inspector who shall be the code official. The inspector shall have the powers and duties in accordance with sections 103 and 104 of the international plumbing code.
      2.   The plumbing inspector shall have the authority to make special rulings, when circumstances warrant, for the safeguarding of life or property. The plumbing contractor and the property owner will be notified in writing of special rulings.
      3.   It is the authority of the plumbing inspector to inspect all plumbing materials and fixtures for which a permit has been issued.
      4.   The plumbing inspector shall have the right of entry as described in section 104.5 of the international plumbing code. Any person interfering with the plumbing inspector shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
   B.   Inspection Of Work:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or individual to conceal or cause to be concealed any work for which a permit is required, until it is known by that person that the installation has been approved by the city. Additionally, inspections are required in accordance with section 107 of the international plumbing code.
      2.   It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to request all inspections. Such request shall be made at least twenty four (24) hours prior to the desired inspection time. (Ord. 1997-09, 10-7-1997)
