It shall be unlawful for any itinerant or transient solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, salesperson or other vendors to sell or offer to sell from house to house in the town any goods, wares, merchandise, services, magazines, papers, books and pamphlets, or subscriptions thereto, without having obtained a license.
