1325.01 LICENSE AND SURETY BOND REQUIRED.
   (a)   Any person, firm, partnership or corporation desiring to lay, alter or repair any house drain or do any plumbing in structures that will drain or are designed to be connected with the public sewers of the City shall file with the Clerk of Council a petition giving the name of the individual and his place of business, requesting to be licensed as a plumber.
   (b)   Each applicant for a license shall execute and deposit with the Clerk of Council, with his application, a surety bond, with a surety company acceptable to Council, in the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000), conditioned that he will indemnify and save harmless the City from all accidents and damages caused by negligence in performing his work, or by any unfaithful, imperfect, inadequate, careless or unskillful work done by him, and that he will also, at the proper time, immediately restore and replace sidewalks or curbs over any opening he may have made, to as good a state and condition as it was found prior to opening, and to keep and maintain the same in good order to the satisfaction of Council, and to pay all fines imposed for a violation of any rules or regulations prescribed in plumbing ordinances of the City.
