(A) Any owner of property who fails to keep the sidewalks abutting on his or her property in repair shall be notified by the city, in writing, of the need for such repair; and the property owner shall, within ten days of such notice, make repairs.

(B) In the event the owner fails to make such repairs as set out in this subchapter, the city shall have the options to make the necessary repairs and to assess the cost of same to abutting property owners and shall notify, in writing, the property owners of the assessment therefor.
