(A) A Joint Executive Committee comprised of the officers of both Plan Commissions shall be established; which committee shall, in addition to filling an advisory role on joint activities, be responsible for employing an Executive Director to head the staff of the Planning Department.
(B) In the event that the Mayor, City Council representative, Board of County Commissioner’s representative, or County Council representative are not officers of their respective Plan Commissions, these elected officials shall serve on the joint committee as an advisory member for the purpose of hiring an Executive Director. The Executive Director shall be responsible to each Plan Commission in accordance with each Commission’s respective by-laws.
