There is created the Logansport-Cass County Planning Department, whose primary function is to provide staff assistance to both the Logansport City Plan Commission and County Plan Commission. The direction and work of the Department shall be determined by a work program adopted by both Plan Commissions in January of each year following at least one joint meeting of the two Commissions. The staff of the Department shall also be available to the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners to provide assistance in matters where their expertise is required or desired, except that any major work items, whenever possible, shall also be requested and incorporated as part of the adopted work program.
