2.16.070 Established.
   There is created in and for the city a police reserve system for the purpose of preserving the public peace and promoting the general welfare of the city by giving authority to persons appointed as reserve police officers to assist and supplement the regular police officers of the city in the enforcement of city ordinances and state statutes.
