8.12.205 Smoking in and around hospital prohibited.
   A.   Purpose.
   1.   The smoking of tobacco and other plants or weeds is a health danger to those exposed to the smoke, and is a source of annoyance and discomfort to those present.
    2.   For this reason, the purpose of this section is to regulate smoking in and around the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
   B.   Definitions.
   "Hospital," as defined in this section, is the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
   "Smoke or smoking," as defined in this section, includes the:
   a.   Carrying or placing of a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or any other lighted smoking equipment in one's mouth to inhale and exhale smoke, or to blow smoke rings;
   b.   Placing of a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or any other lighted smoking equipment in an ashtray or other receptacle, and allowing smoke to diffuse in the air; or
   c.   Carrying or placing of a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or any other lighted smoking equipment in one's hands or any appendage or devices, and allowing smoke to diffuse in the air.
   C.    Prohibition. Smoking is prohibited on hospital grounds, inside hospital buildings and in hospital parking lots.
   D.   Civil Fine and Penalties Imposed. The civil fine/penalty for violating the provisions of this section shall not exceed $50.00 for the first offense, and $75.00 for each successive offense.
