In addition to or as an alternative to any penalty provided herein or by law, any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class I misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars for each violation, and/or by imprisonment for up to six months.
