For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
“Aerosol spray paint container” means any aerosol container adapted or made for the purpose of applying spray paint or any other substance capable of defacing property.
“Felt tip marker” means any broad-tipped marker pen with a tip exceeding one-quarter of one inch in width, or any similar implement containing an ink that is not water soluble.
“Graffiti” means a drawing or an inscribed message, slogan, sign, symbol or mark of any type that is made on any public or private building, structure or surface, without permission of the owner.
“Graffiti implement” means an aerosol paint container, a felt-tip marker, paint stick or graffiti stick, etching tool, or any other device capable of scarring or leaving a visible mark on glass, metal, concrete, wood or any other surface.
“Paint stick” or “graffiti stick” means any device containing a solid form of paint, chalk, wax, epoxy, or other similar substance capable of being applied to a surface by pressure, and upon application, of leaving a mark at least one-eighth of an inch in width.
