The procedures described below shall be followed before opening pool to the public for swimming lessons.
(A) Check deck and pool for broken glass and clean up. Be sure to vacuum pool if glass is present on deck.
(B) Clean up litter from deck area, change and clean the restroom areas, and hallways.
(C) Clean up litter and broken glass in front of pool building.
(D) Check pH and chlorine levels and record.
(E) Check the air temperature to make sure it is above 70°F.
(F) Check pool equipment for safety condition: diving boards; pool ladders; stair rails; lifesaving safety equipment; park benches; tables; and mechanical room.
(G) Underwater lights should be turned off.
