§ 50.024  REINSTATEMENT AND OTHER REQUESTS.
   (A)   When it becomes necessary for the city to discontinue utility service to a customer for non-payment of bills, service will be reinstated only after all bills for utility service due have been paid as provided in § 50.023(B)(1) through (B)(3) of this chapter, and any deposit, if required by the city to ensure future payment for utility services, has been paid. All such requests for reinstatement, if not received by 2:30 p.m., will be accommodated on the first business day following the request. An applicant for such reinstatement who submits a request after 2:30 p.m. shall have the option to pay all additional costs incurred by the city, including overtime costs paid to city employees, to obtain reinstatement on that day.
   (B)   Further, all other requests unrelated to reinstatement after discontinuance due to non- payment, for either turning water service on or turning water service off, if not received by 2:30 p.m. during regular business hours, will be accommodated on the first business day following the request. A $20 fee shall be paid at the time of each such request. An applicant requesting that water service be turned on or turned off who submits a request after 2:30 p.m. during regular business hours shall have the option to pay a $20 fee, plus all additional costs incurred by the city, including overtime costs paid to the city employees, to turn the water service on or off on that day.
