§ 155.002 PURPOSE.

   The purpose of this chapter is to:

   (A)   Promote the health, safety, and the general welfare of the community by ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations as it pertains to the development of land;

   (B)   Promote the understanding and need to protect and maintain agricultural land to facilitate the continued use for agricultural purposes.
