A. Recognized Holidays: No permit shall be issued for interments on the following holidays recognized by the City:
New Year's Day
Martin Luther King's birthday
Presidents' Day
Good Friday
Easter Sunday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve afternoon (after 12:00 noon)
Christmas Day
B. Observed Holidays Excluded: Permits may be issued for interments on observed holidays as follows:
1. In the event a recognized holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be the observed holiday. In the event a recognized holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be the observed holiday.
2. The day after Thanksgiving is considered an observed holiday and interment permits may be issued. (Ord. 2018-35)
