Whenever an unauthorized vehicle is towed from private property, the tow truck operator shall notify the Carbondale police department not later than one hour after the vehicle is removed. Such notification may be by e-mail, telephone or fax and shall include the name of the tow truck operator; a complete and accurate description of the vehicle, including license plate number; the location from which and to which the vehicle was towed; the time the vehicle was towed; and the reason the vehicle was towed.
