A. Use Of Sidewalks, Streets, Etc.: Except as otherwise permitted within this title, no person, entity, business or corporation shall solicit, engage in or carry on a business, occupation or pursuit upon any sidewalk, crosswalk, city owned or leased parking lot or area, street, alley, public way or other public place in the city. This section does not prohibit license or permit holders from using streets, alleys, sidewalks, public or private property pursuant to a license or permit granted under this chapter or chapter 14 of this title, or for normal means of travel in accordance with the provisions of title 18 of this code, or the Illinois state statutes, as hereafter amended.
